This automatic case-packer is designed to perform packing of gallon type containers into corrugated boxes. The containers are conveyed, the containers flow is divided according to the packaging pattern, the containers are picked and placed into the cardboard box, and the box is sealed with adhesive tape or hot melt glue.
The gallon type containers are fed into the machine by the infeed conveyor in a single row.
The product flow is divided into several lanes according to the packaging pattern.
The gallon type containers are transferred to the accumulation section where they are accumulated according to the packing pattern.
The box or case is formed at the box forming section. This section is provided with the box magazine where the boxes in flat are loaded manually. The process of forming the boxes is fully automatic. When the box is formed, it is transferred by side belts into the packing section of the machine.
The box in the packing section is held in place with its upper flaps opened to not interfere with packing process.
When sensors detect the required quantity of product in the accumulation section, the rotary grippers pick the containers and rotate them to the packing section.
The rotary gripper with the products goes down and places them into the opened box.
The box is then moved by side belts to the sealing section. Box upper flaps are gradually closed and both upper and bottom flaps are sealed with adhesive tape or hot melt glue.
Box former is integrated as a section of the case packing machine.
Manual loading of blank flat cardboard cases/boxes into the box magazine.
The box magazine can be extended to increase its capacity so that the system can operate for longer without refilling the boxes.
The next box is erected and folded as soon as the previous box is transferred for further processing. The system can handle a wide range of formats with a few simple adjustments.
